Meet the new multi-function oven with the Active Steam feature by Hotpoint; it exploits all the potential of steam combined with traditional features to achieve impeccable results, in terms of cooking and flavour.
Active Steam technology
The Active Steam feature combines the power of steam with traditional cooking guaranteeing the perfect moisture and hot air levels to make every recipe perfect every time. Simply pour water into the bottom of the cavity and switch on the oven. Specific algorithms regulate perfectly the parameters of the 3 programs so as to turn the water into steam and keep the cooking performance at the ideal level.
Three simple steps
Light, healthy cooking
Steam preserves the taste and nutritional properties of food so that each dish remains tender and tasty even with a more modest use of fats and seasoning. You can create light, delicious recipes, that are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside every time you want. Steam provides the right level of moisture during cooking. This facilitates the leavening of baked items and preserves the juiciness and the volume of foods. Bread will be crispier and crunchier, while fish and meat will be more tender and golden.
Functions
The Active Steam feature provides the ideal level of moisture and hot air in the 3 programs specifically designed for cooking meat, bread and fish. In addition, with the screen-printed key to the programs on the door, you can always find out the amount of water required, the level where to place the baking pan/grill and the right cooking temperature and times. But it is not just "steam" you also have 7 other traditional cooking functions and the pyrolytic cleaning mode, which allows you to burn the residues in the oven, reducing them to ashes.
